Stories about our foldable wooden box

Idea and development

For story fans: how Michael came up with FridayBOX: “Some time ago, I advised a retail company that was looking for suitable foldable packaging. “Something made of wood would be great!” In my search for a suitable wooden box, I couldn’t find anything apart from various plug systems. This tickled my ambition and I started experimenting with plywood in my prototype workshop.

The individual features of the FridayBOX were then created step by step: the hinges, the stacking and, above all, the mechanisms for locking and opening completely without any other fittings. And suddenly it was a thing: all made of wood, all milled, assembled with just eight screws… The first boxes have been out in the wild since October 2021. Now the first production is underway in Hemmerden, let’s see where we end up with the FridayBOX…”

History of the name FridayBOX

Here we explain why we called our folding box FridayBOX.

Liesje trekking stories

In addition to the boxes, which were in their first practical tests with friends and relatives, we were able to win a customer in the outdoor sector with Liesje Trecking.

Our robubst wooden boxes are part of the covered wagon equipment for transportation and seating and are now in their third season.

Whether for shopping for guests or transporting materials for fence repairs, the FridayBOX is also a constant and reliable companion in the yard.

Festive stories

Some customers have already taken the opportunity to give the FridayBOX as a Christmas present. However, most of them were so attached to their new designer wooden box that they only transported the presents in it and then took their box home again.

Thank you very much for providing the pictures.
